Annual Notices for families

Information regarding students requiring to leave school before the end of the instructional day:

Please read and follow the procedure provided to best ensure your child's safety.

A parent/guardian or someone listed as an emergency contact on the blue card must sign the student out in the main office, Room 302. Proof of identity will be required.  â€‹

A student may sign themselves out; however, the school must first be notified by the parent/guardian on record that they give their consent. This notification must be an email from the parent/guardian stating the student’s name, the reason for the early release, and the parent/guardian's consent for them to leave on their own. This email is to be sent to Parent Coordinator Cheryl-Ann Fox, cfox7@schools.nyc.gov

In the event a student becomes ill at school and wishes to go home, the student should get a pass from the main office and be seen by the school nurse, before contacting their parent/guardian regarding leaving the building. The nurse will make the determination if the student can safely leave the building on their own, or if they must be picked up by an adult, following the procedure in the first bullet.

Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students, your children.
